Do lies girls tell matter?
For years, girls were considered as innocent little souls. They were the emblem of innocence and gentleness and we did not have to worry about them lying. Today lies girls tell do matter because they are far from being innocent. Today thanks to the internet, there are all kinds of trouble lurking around. The latest being online romance. There are tons of teenage girls who are wrapped up with online romance.
Online romance has caught up in a big way. Both teenagers and young adults are absorbed in it. Being a counselor in High school for girls has become a tough job for me with all the lies girls tell. I am amazed at the lies girls tell to cover up their online romances. Most of these girls are not just having a fling online but are also seriously dating other boys. Indeed, it is a scary world out there for little girls and we need to keep a watch out for our kids.
I remember counseling a young girl about her online romance. I was surprised that online romance was far from what I thought it to be. It was infact very sexual. When I was trying to counsel this kid, I sought help from her classmates, but boy was I surprised with the lies girls tell to cover up for their friends. All the girls gave me such a hard time. It took me several months before I could get any sense into her and her friends.
